    Hi – This is a great plug-in.

But can somebody help me with one thing?

I am using the Perfmatters plugin on my site, with the ‘Delay Javascript’ option selected (under the ‘Assets’ tab in Perfmatters) and with the option ‘Delay All Scripts’ option on.

I find this makes a considerable improvement to my page load times.

But with these Perfmatters options selected, I don’t get any thumbnails from YouTube displaying on the page until there is some user interaction.

I would therefore like to exclude the relevant WP YouTube Lyte JS script (or scripts) from being delayed, so that the thumbnails show as soon as the page loads.

Can somebody tell me what these scripts are please so that I can ‘exclude’ them from being delayed?

    Many thanks.

that would be wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/lyte-min.js and a block of inline JS that has wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/ in it, so assuming exclusion works by string comparison adding wp-content/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/lyte/ targets both the inline JS and the file Peter.

    hope this helps,

    Hi Frank –

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

Yes that solved everything thank you.

I had already excluded from JS delay the main lyte-min.js (I had picked up on that) but I didn’t realise about the inline JS. As soon as I added that to the delay exclusions list, all the YT thumbnails loaded up with the page load, which was exactly what I wanted.

Thank you once again for your help, and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

    Best regards,

    pete
