Currently if I have multiple revisions of the same page and publish one of them the others stay in the tree as drafts. I have keep_original_on_publish set to false, this deletes 1 of the revisions. How to I remove all other “draft” revisions without having the publisher admin manually do that?

Is there a filter to limit revisions of a page?
Can we expand the keep original function to remove all draft revisions?

    Thanks!

At this stage you will need to manually delete them via the UI in wp-admin.

No filter to limit revisions. Some people manage multiple revisions at the same time. So, although it’s inconvenient, you have full control to delete your draft revisions when you don’t need them.

Thanks for the response, and I understand your reasonings. Would you be open to adding this as a custom feature or filter of some type?

I have a single editor managing multiple authors on a multisite (500 sites). Each site owner can revise 2 pages and without being able to either limit the revisions or delete all but the published revisions this can become a labor nightmare.

If not I understand, and thanks for such an awesome plugin.

@mlangone I’m trying to understand your setup better. Your authors are site admins and your editor is a superadmin? Or what role does your author use? The built in Author role?

If it’s the Author role and that user publishes their revision, what do you expect to happen? For the revision to go into pending review (same behaviour as if the user had the Contributor role)?

Version 2.0 is launched which allows for some paid addons to be installed. These addons should help achieve what you need. But please let me know if there’s anything else you need.

Thanks @jamiechong this is exactly what we are trying to use the plugin for!
