Hi there, I understand that we can delete local web serve backups that show up in out File Manager cPanel under public_html/wp-content/updaraft.

However, is it safe to delete everything under this folder or do we need to select only those files labelled “backup_……..gz”?

Is there on the frontend of the Updraft dashboard that we can click to purge all of these unnecessary files?

Lastly, I have my backups going to Google Drive. By deleting the files from the local server should not impact the backups to Google Drive correct?

    Hi,

In the file, you will also find log files (txt files), it’s safe to delete these as well.
Unfortunately there is no way on the frontend to delete the files, you will need to do it via your file manager.
It should not affect your Google Drive backups if you delete files from your local server.

    All right. That’s great.

Maybe I could make a feature request so that this plugin has a button on the front end to purge all the local files on the server that are no longer needed or that are already backed up on a remote drive.

    Hi,

Could you post the request here: https://updraftplus.com/feature-requests/
It allows us to keep track of all requests.
