Actually when a note is deleted, it is sent to trash but not removed from database.

I think there is a big problem: no way to really delete notes. Theyare kept in the database forever, even if plugin is removed from the website.

I think that notes whould be delete from database when “Delete note” button is clicked. As it is, there is no reason to keep them with “trash” status because there is no way to restore them.

If notes are kept in “trash”, then a restore and premanent delete options should be added to the plugin. This add more complexity to the plugin and maybe is not very useful for most of us, so really delete notes could be the most wanted behaviour.

    What do you think?

    Hi ??

The notes are indeed trashed instead of fully removed. This is as a small assurance that if someone accidently removes a note it can be restored (although a small workaround is required for that)

I also have a ‘restore’ feature on my wishlist for the future.

Note that trashed posts should be deleted in ~30 days by default in WordPress, see https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Trash_status

I have already had a couple people who came to me in distress about accidently removing a note, and they were very happy it was only trashed, so I’m not going to remove that just yet ??

That are my thoughts, counter thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Jeroen

I didn’t know bout the 30 days limit in trash. Good point. Nothing more to add. The restore feature would be nice.
