Delete Old Database Tables for WordPress 2.3

  • I recently upgraded to wordpress 2.3. The new version is using a new set of tables for tags and categories. I was wondering which tables can I remove which are unnecessary?

    For example do I still need “wp_post2tag” or can I get rid of it?

  • That’s not a WordPress standard table. Backup up your database before you drop that table just in case you find need for that in the future.

    thanks for the info, i looked it up and it seems to be part of ultimate tag warrior.

    i think wordpress should drop the ultimate tag warrior table once it imports the tags from it in 2.3. where should suggest that idea?
