I posted a question on one of these forums a month ago and it is now appearing in Google’s search index. Unfortunately I inadvertently included some company-sensitive information in my question. Is it possible to either delete my question from the forum or edit it at this late date in hopes that this information will disappear from Google’s search results the next time Google indexes that forum? Thanks.

I’ve looked at all your topics and replies and see nothing that rises to the level of sensitive information that might pose a legitimate security threat to your company or its website.

With all due respect Mr. Stern, you aren’t in a position to decide what is sensitive to my business and what is not. But thanks for your answer just the same.

    Robert, please enlighten me.

    However, note our policy:

Oh I see. You accidentally forgot to edit ONE example of cms.YOURDOMAIN.com in one of your posts…

sterndata is correct. Per our guidelines, that’s not sensitive data. However as I can see you made a good-faith attempt to edit this and missed a spot, I’ve fixed that and left the post intact.

Keep in mind, this doesn’t meant anyone will help you edit future posts. The forum moderators (which include sterndata) do not edit posts like this because it’s been too time consuming to handle people who failed to realize posting in a public forum meant … well … public.

This is clearly not the case with your request. You just missed one. It happens. I’d say ‘be more careful in the future’ but y’know, humans make mistakes ?? If I could stop mistakes from happening, I’d be rich!

Mrs. Epstein, thank you very much for your assistance. I greatly appreciated your help and will be more careful in the future.
