    Hi @flyfisher842

Apologies for the delay over the weekend.

UpdraftPlus will automiatically detect if there are old folders from the restoration. If that does not shows anymore, you can alternatively manually delete it via FTP. Old files are suffixed with “-old” inside the wp-content folder.

    Thanks,
    Bryle

What do you mean automatically detect it. Do you mean automatically delete the old files. Because that has not happened on two different websites with updraft plus installed. There used to be a notification that there were old files and a delete link which was very helpful. My webhost monitors for backup files and I get emails about them every so often.

    Hi,

The “Delete Old Files” button only appears if the old components are still on your server. It will disappear if it has already been deleted. You can manually check using FTP/cPanel File Manager to confirm that it has already been deleted.

    Thanks,

This is what I have been telling you. The old files are still there and there was no notification button or delete button. I had to use file manager on cpanel to delete them.

Deleting is not the problem. Updraft not working right and notifying when the old files were still there is the problem.
