    I wanted to stop that a registered user received the regular subscription mails.

    Instead your stupid tool removed the registered user and all its posts were assigned to a default user!!!
    No question if I wanted really do that (like wordpress does!)

    Sorry, you must be joking with us, when you said that the subscribe2 users requested this feature. If I want to delete a users I go into the WordPress dashboard and select Users.
    As opposed to Subscribe2, WordPress asks me if I want to really do this and what to do with all his posts.

    You answer in the post

    is a joke.

  • @peter,

    So what would you suggest to improve this and make it clearer? In the drop down bulk action it currently says “Delete” not “Delete Subscription” which I would have thought would indicate to users that it erases the user account, not just the subscription – but clearly that’s not the case.

    Should the text instead say “Delete Account” or “Delete User”?

    Also, bear in mind that I share my code and my time without charging. It’s pretty soul destroying to be on the receiving end of a post that tells me I’m joking and my tool is stupid. Feedback is welcome if it is constructive.

    Many of us, bloggers, share their time without getting paid for it. We regularly donate to plugin authors and I think that we donated to you.

    U may see that I had lots of work to restore the user and the many posts assigned to him, some of these posts I can’t even remember.

    as stated in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/option-to-delete-users?replies=2

    a “delete user” function has nothing to do in subscription of posts.

    If a user of your plugin wants to delete a user, tell him to use the wordpress dashboard menu point “user”.

    The job of subscribe2 is not to rebuild wordpress with a weaker functionality, but to manage subscription.

    What happens if a public subscriber latter becomes a resister user (maybe through a subscription)? Will he be double listed and receive double notifications?

    My humble opinion is to remove completely the delete bulk action for registered users because that is not something this plugin should deal with. |Otherwise, thank you for a very useful tool.

    @peter,

    I understand your frustrations but I cannot change what has already happened, all I can do is try to make Subscribe2 better.

    I still get users who are confused about Public and Registered Subscribers and who cannot figure out that Registered Subscribers can be deleted in Users-> All Users, hence the Delete bulk option.

    I will see if I can add a user warning to the feature.

    @rick111,

    What happens if a public subscriber latter becomes a resister user?

    The Public Subscriber record is erase and the user is subscribed as a Registered Subscriber. No double listing and no double notification.
