  • It is not the general policy to edit or delete forum posts. When a post is made and people contribute answers to an issue, that then becomes part of the community resource for others to benefit from. Deleting posts removes this added value. In extreme circumstances, the moderation team might be persuaded to remove sensitive information but. generally, your best course of action is not to publish anything that you wouldn’t want to be public.

I’m sorry but this is not an extreme case.

your kidding right, I asked for 1 link to be removed, a link that at the end of the day I’m sure I dont have the rights to display, a link that may effect my reputation AND PAY and your going to say sorry can’t do it, your kidding right. sorry but that bs its a link and i want it removed, there has to be someone I can progress this too vs just someone saying nah not extreme see you later. TO ME THIS IS VERY EXTREME the post can stay the link has to come down dont care who i have to progress this too, and that obv just made me mad enough to never post on here again. YOU SHOW ME ANYWHERE ON YOUR REGISTRATION THAT SAY ALL INFORMATION PERMANENT and can not be removed, there is nothing that states that. I dont want to make an issue out of something as small as removing a link but to me this is very extreme and I will make a massive issue out of it if I have to. There is no where on this site that says that all information will be kept during registration or posting.

Can someone please just delete the link off the post

And I asked to have the link deleted with in the first hour of me posting the link on there I was trying to remove it as soon as I posted it but didnt know how.

Sorry but I don’t kid around over matters like this. Please see the entry in the Forum Rules page at the link I posted above. You did read that before posting, didn’t you?

Well you can’t be the only moderator on here according to the link you sent me. And it also says you have 1 hour to edit your work, I was asking for it to be taken down an hour after posting it.

Can I please have another Admin step into this please and take my link down. www.ads-software.com did not notify me at any time it was going to keep my data and have no way of taking it down. You dont have a right to keep me from striking it down if that rules link you sent me was listed as a read guides before posting I would be out of luck but you didnt notify me at all. its a simple link I dont understand the issue there are alot of other poeple on here will way less extreme cases that has had they’re full posts removed can I please have another admin on this as ESMI is obv not going to help this situation at all.

And there is no strick guide lines to what is extreme situation as its a judgement call on your behalf I hear your not wanting to help fine can I please have someone that is more reasonable step in

    Thanks

You have up to 1 hour to edit your posts yourself. We do not do that for you. If you had read the Forum Welcome/Rules before posting, you would have seen that we do not edit posts in these situations. We do recommend that you read that page. It’s highlighted at the top of every forum but we cannot make you read it. That is your responsibility.

As this is a community forum staffed by volunteers, there is no higher authority. Your client’s site link in a post is not an extreme situation.

there are alot of other poeple on here will way less extreme cases that has had they’re full posts removed

I’m sorry but you have been misinformed. Since I don’t see any reason for pursuing this discussion, I am now closing this topic.
