Delete using phpMyAdmin

  • I want to delete a number of posts. If I use phpMyAdmin is it sufficient that I delete the rows I find in wp_posts or will this leave stuff hanging around which will mess up my database?

  • Better to use the admin interface to do that. You can do a bulk delete and under Screen Options you can set it to see 999 posts per page.

    Otherwise you could leave stuff in the postmeta and terms tables that really should be left.
