• First thing I did with my freshly installed blog was delete my About page and created 3 new pages. However Dashboard shows 4 pages. In Edit Pages, it says “All” and “Published” = 4, however only 3 pages are there. Plus, I use Atahualpa theme, and across its “page bar” at the top, it shows the “About” page with pageid=2, however this page doesn’t exist! I get the error “Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here” when trying to click it (of course!) because when in the Pages of my admin panel, it’s just not there.

I tried creating a new page named “About” and then deleting it, but WordPress still thinks the original About page still exists or something. Anyone ever get this error? Could I purge the entry from the database somehow?

  • Assuming you can change to the WordPress Default theme and not experience the problem???

May need to edit your theme’s header.php and delete the code that displays that link.

no, the theme doesn’t matter. Even with Default theme the About page still shows up. But it doesn’t appear in my list of pages in Admin screen. Something must be hosed up in the database but I don’t know what to do.

Link to see the problem, please.

I’m having the same problem. I eliminated “Great Gifts For Grandparents” and added a new page “Tools For Helping Mature Market Clients.”

“Grandparents” won’t go away and “Tools” won’t appear.

    The blog link is https://www.Mature-Market-Experts.com

    Thoughts?
