Deleted categories still showing in the legend

    I have deleted 2 categories, they are not visible in the category colors settings but are visible (without colors) in the legend in the calendar view. How to remove these categories from the view? If I hide a category through color settings the category is still visible but without color, so this is not a solution.

    You might not have deleted the categories but only deleted the events. If you go the the Events > Categories menu you will be able to tell for certain.

    If you have a category that you do not wish to show in the legend you can check the first box (Hide) in the Category Colors settings.

    Hi Andy,
    I do confirm that I have deleted the categories because I don’t see them any more in Events > Event Categories menu.

    If I click the first box (Hide) in Category Colors, the category doesn’t disappear from the legend, only its color disappears.

    Here are the versions:
    The Events Calendar 4.9.9
    The Events Calendar Category Colors 6.3.0
    Registrations for the Events Calendar Pro Business 2.10.4

    Do you have the Show hidden categories option checked in the settings?

    Though odd that the category is still present as I don’t cache that.

    I have deleted 2 event categories but there were, in the past months events, assigned events to these categories which are still present.

    Interesting. I would have thought that removing the category would remove it everywhere.

    Can you provide a screenshot of your settings and a URL to your calendar?

    After setting the website for a screenshot, the 2 categories are no more present. Since I deleted them I always used incognito mode of Chrome. It looks like they have been cached somewhere.
