So in using NinjaForms to connect to Give it’s showing all the correct categories in the taxonomy. Now we had the preferred “Rough, Tough and Scruffy” category option for one form. But for some reason, these two: ‘Rough” and ‘Tough and Scruffy” were also categories. (Nothing is in any of them right now.) I deleted those extra two.

But for some reason those latter 2, even once deleted are what get selected even though they aren’t the ones in the taxonomy list in the Ninjaform. They show in the Give Form.

I even checked the database to see if they were floating loose in there somewhere and not deleting properly but don’t see them. They definitely don’t show in the donations plugin category list, only in the Give Form itself.

How do I get rid of the weird extras and make it put the category on the correct one?

Oh good grief…is this a bug? Is Give allergic to the comma? It seems to be creating those separate categories.
When I remove the comma: Rough, Tough and Scruffy and change it to the doesn’t read correctly Rough – Tough – Scruffy
THEN when it is filled out in the NinjaForm, it appears correctly in the Give Team Form.

    Hi @starhorsepax2,

If you create a category with commas in GiveWP, the commas are respected and only one category will be created. I’m guessing that the way the category is sent from your custom form to the GiveWP backend is where the problem is.

Maybe it’s breaking into an array instead of sending as a string. That would be a question for Ninja Forms.
