Deleted Default Shop Page but still appears via the same URL

Just to add

Whenever I set /the-shop page as the “Shop Page” in WooCommerce Settings, the /shop/ page is unreachable. But the problem is the filtering as it work.

A little update from me.

So I’ve decided to get rid of the “The-shop” page as it’s causing more issues than good.

So now I’m stuck with the attributes filter not working on “/shop/” page. I’ve done a product attribute lookup on WooCommerce > Tools and the attributes worked for a minute or two. But then they came back to the original issue wherein the attributes filter aren’t working.

Any possible issue or recommendation here? Obviously, I don’t want to keep updating product attributes lookup all the time.

The thing is that I have already deleted the /shop page but it is still showing up whenever I visit the same URL.

For setting up the WooCommerce pages, have a look in the related documentation.

The System Status Report shows that no page is set currently as the shop base. Additionally, while investigating your issue(s), I got a page not found error, when trying to open /the-shop.

What I have noticed is that whenever I set the https://sorcerersgate.co.nz/the-shop/ page under WooCommerce > Settings > Shop Page. The layout and the same filtering problem gets applied to “the-shop” page. So I think the issue might be related to WooCommerce specifically? Could it have some sort of “default shop page” saved elsewhere?

Indeed, I faced the same issue. Can you please perform a conflict test on your site and let us know of your findings?

Here are some steps you can follow:

The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to:

1. Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty theme.
2. Try to reproduce the problem: Check whether you can save changes!
If the problem is resolved, it’s a theme conflict. If not, continue to the next steps.
3. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce. You can do this manually or use a plugin to help (see below for tools).
4. Try to reproduce the problem again. If the problem is resolved, it’s a plugin conflict. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, continue to the next step.
5. Reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.
