Deleted everything

  • I needed to restore my site but instead of restoring it, this plugin has deleted EVERYTHING. I have no plugins installed, all my settings are set back to default, my theme is set back to default. It’s wiped out everything I worked so long and so hard to do.

    DO NOT. DO NOT. INSTALL THIS.

    Hi Martin,

    Sorry to hear that! WordPress has no facility to reset everything in that way, and neither does UpdraftPlus add one (it’s actually extremely difficult to achieve – if you search for plugins doing a reset, you’ll see how complex their code gets). It’s likely that you restored a backup of a pristine install. If you post the log file in the support forum, that can be established one way or the other.
