Hi. I searched for this problem everywhere and I can’t seem to find the answer. So, it’s like this: After I applied a theme, I created some pages and my main page, which was named after my website’s name still existed. There I put some text to see how it shows on the page and it was just fine, so I started to customize my other areas on the website.
I don’t know why, but two days ago I believe, I erased the main page, but the content is still there. I couldn’t realise that I have a problem only when I wanted to change that text that I used for testing. I can’t access that page anymore as I did before.
The question is why the front page still displays the same stuff if the fricking main page was deleted? And what can I do to make the main page editable again? I know that I can choose a static page as the homepage, and so on, but I don’t want this. And I have to edit my homepage asap. Thanks in advance.

  • Check ‘Settings’ -> ‘Reading’ -> ‘Front page’. You must have selected the ‘Static Page’.

“Your latest posts” is checked. Exactly as it was in the beginning.

Site URL? Are you using a caching plugin?

Yeah, I just installed WP Super Cache, but the problem existed before I installed it. The problem is that I can’t edit that lorem bla bla bla, actually I can, because it’s a post, I can access it, but the permalink is set to the page “Contact” and it doesn’t let me change it. And things were just fine, two days ago, when I just accessed the main page and edited it.

I have an idea, I don’t know. What if I erase all pages, after all, they have no information added yet, so it wouldn’t be hard. I believe that the front page will still be there, but how could that be possible? I honestly believe that it is somehow hidden.
