    Hi,

I realized sometimes when I tried to upload an image it keep showing up an older version of the image. The only way I can fix that is to rename the image to a completely different name.

For example, I have a newer version of an image that I need to upload, the image name is 1.png

I then proceeded to upload the image, during the uploading process, it shows it uploaded the image with the correct name 1.png

However, once the uploading has been completed, it somehow show the old image name 1-3.png

    I have tried the following:
    1) clicked delete permanently but same thing happen, the same image 1-3.png resurfaced again after I tried to upload

    View post on imgur.com

    2) I can see the ghost image 1-3.png is stored in this path via media library
    https://hopeedu.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/1-3.png

so I went into the path and deleted the file, I tried to upload again but it appeared again ….
I tried to refresh the path and then comes 1-3.png somehow it magically appeared again in the wp-content/uploads/2022/03 folder…

I have read online people says when we delete it’s deleted from database but not from the server but I believe if I delete from wp-content it should be deleting from server?

    Am I missing something?
    Thanks,

    Regards,
    Hope
