    Hello, I installed the MalCare Security plugin and decided to delete it because of conflicts with another plugin.

    Even though I have deleted the plugin I still get this showing up in log files;

    /wp-load.php?pubkey=XXXXXXXXXXXXXTime=1544514942&bvVersion=0.1&bvMethod=getdata&sha1=true&sig=3154045337deb5463ed7ef6b724aefd6283a1c53
    (I have changed the public key in this post)

    How do I stop this from showing in the logs?

    Any assistance would be appreciated as I am not a coder or developer.

    Cheers
    James

    Hi James,

    We have not seen conflicts with other plugins. If you could share the plugin we could find the reason for conflict. Also if you could share the a few characters of the site url we can prevent our servers from trying to scan it.

    Thanks,
    Akshat

    Hi Akshat,

    I was using the Stop Spammers https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/ and the Malcare plugin together and I would get a 403 error. I then noticed that in the stop spammer > Log reports there were multiple entries from Malcare in about 30 seconds apart from different ip addresses inc, 45.63.11.110 45.77.97.238 71.19.145.97 88.99.145.69 and others.

    As soon as I deleted the Malcare plugin I could get back into wordpress but I wonder if it could be a caching problem. I cleared all caches and still I get the messages showing in the log reports.

    The affected website is jamesdoylephoto.com

    Thanks
    James

    You marked this as resolved but it’s not resolved, I still have the same problem!

    Hi James,

    Apologies for closing the ticket.
    We try to ping your site once a day to check if the plugin is present and if it is then we then try to scan your site. That is why you’re seeing the requests in the log.

    Regarding the conflict, I was unable to reproduce the issue on our test sites.
    Please share the logs/screenshot when you activate both MalCare and Stop Spammers and we will try and resolve the conflict as soon as possible.
    Also, please raise a ticket at https://malcare.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new as it would be easier for us to track and respond to the queries.

    Thanks,

    Hi Anirudh,

    I’m confused now! I’ve deleted the Malcare plugin from the site and I’ve deleted the account that you sign up to when you install the plugin.

    When I got your email with the update I also got a email from

    support@malcare.com (not sure if this is your company) but I never asked for a backup to be made.
    The email says;
    Hi,
    The Testrestore site for your WordPress site https://www.jamesdoylephoto.com of the backup dated, 2018-12-14T06:32:11.000Z is ready. You can access it here:

    Hi,

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    The above email was triggered by our system when we were trying to debug the issue. You can safely ignore it.
    Also, for the plugin conflict, can you please raise a support at https://malcare.freshdesk.com/a/tickets/new

    I hope that clarifies.

    Thanks,
    Rohit
