Deleted meetup events do not delete from wp calendar

I am having the same issue with the WP Meetup plugin on this site.

Does anyone, or the plugin author, have any suggestions on how to correct this?

I apologize for taking so long to respond. We are currently working on a rewrite of the plugin. This issue is one of the topics that the rewrite will hopefully fix. This update will be released within the next couple days.

Artisana, It took us a little bit longer to get the update out than we had expected. However, the update come out today. In testing, this issue was accounted for. This means that it worked for our testing sites. However, we are looking forward to hearing about your experiences with the new plugin pertaining to this issue.

Unfortunately, this seems to still be occurring. My website: amethysthealthcom.ipage.com and the event “Test” on July 27 was deleted on Meetup but has not been deleted from the WP Meetup calendar on my website. Please help!

With the recent reorganization of the plugin that we can been doing with the various updates, the code for this fix was edited out in order to handle data in a more efficient way. There was another solution coded in, however if you are still having the issue with the new version then we will have someone look into it. Look for an update soon with a fix.

OK thank you. It would be great if I could manually go in and delete the incorrect event while waiting on the fix. I have been able to manually go into my website and delete the post for the event, but I am not able to manually delete the calendar entry. Do you recommend I uninstall and reinstall?

If you remove the group from the groups page, the plugin should delete all events and corresponding posts. Then you can re-add the group and manually update events which will then retrieve all of your events from Meetup.com and create new posts for them.

I know it isn’t a great answer, but temporary solutions hardly ever are. Hopefully we will have this fixed soon.
