Deleted pages still appearing on the Services drop-down menu on mobile only

    Hello,

    Basically I’m in the process of compressing our overly bloated website and instead of having 15 individual pages for each service we offer, I’ve created 4 service category pages and all the services are listed in those category pages accordingly. The previous service pages have been deleted and properly redirected to the new service category pages. It’s also worth mentioning that 4 of the old service pages were reformatted and had their URL’s changed to have new links.

    On desktop everything is as it should be. However when I checked on mobile, the deleted pages still appeared under the Service drop-down menu – but they don’t appear if you’re on the home page or any of the new 4 category pages. They only appear on our other pages like About, Gallery, Contact etc.

    Anyone have an idea as to why this discrepancy could be happening, on mobile only and on all the other pages except for the Home page and 4 new pages? Does it take time until Google completely de-indexes the deleted pages and no longer shows them?

    For reference, I am using Elementor Header & Footer so thought this would be the best place to post in.

    Hi @ruruuu99, it looks like the issue might be related to your site’s cache. To fix this, you’ll need to refresh the Permalinks. Here’s an article that explains how to flush WordPress Permalinks: How to Refresh WordPress Permalinks.
