• I saw an old thread about this issue where the suggested workaround was to trash the post, restore it, then trash it again but that didn’t seem to work. Tried it a couple times, waited to see if it just needed time and still no dice. Tried other things (unpublishing/drafting the post then reposting and trashing, etc) still no good. So I tried just permadeleting the problem post as a last resort… but it still didn’t work… and now my fediverse feed has a ghost post that I can’t get rid of and it shows up for any new followers who scroll back through my post history.

Luckily it was just some testing posts that only said, “testing” and stuff, but it’s still really messy and unfortunate that I can’t find some way to delete it… is there any sort of workaround to delete posts on your fediverse history that are already permadeleted on wordpress?

I also tried clearing my cache but no luck there. I use a self-hosted wordpress (easyWP) if that makes any difference.

This should work out of the box. You have to delete the post and keep in trashed for some time, then it will be deleted on the other platforms.

Can you maybe tell us your blogs URL, so that I can check if something might be broken?
