• When I subscribe to my own blog (coosacreek.org/mambo) via Google Reader, every post from the dawn of time– including the “hello world!” initial post. In particular, I did a “test” post and deleted it, and there it is on Google Reader.

This is embarrassing, especially because it may be because I don’t know what I’m doing.

    Help!

  • Pretty much. Most rss feed sites rely on caches to save on bandwidth and once it’s there, it’s there. Best bet would be to contact Google directly.

Google caches feeds. Simple as that, really. They have no real removal process, because feeds are ongoing, so if they didn’t cache them, most posts would not be available in Google Reader. All feed readers cache to some degree.

Don’t publish something until you’re ready for it to be out there, forever.
