Deleted products still showing in Facebook shop and commerce manager

Could you please provide us with a Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply.

Sorry to see you’re still encountering this issue!

The snippet in question should go into your functions.php file, if this is something you haven’t had experience with I’d definitely suggest working with a developer to ensure you don’t run into any issues. You can find some resources for locating one on the customizations page I linked previously.

If this is something you’re familiar with you could manually enter the code, you could also attempt to use a plugin, potentially something like Code Snippets. As a heads up, this plugin is linked from our open-source community is not one we support directly.

Hi I’m having the same problem.
The article is a little unclear how to run this code. I have a degree in software development and some more instructions would have been better. From what I can see you place the code in your functions.php file and next time you log in as admin the code will run? Can someone please provide some brief instructions of how to use this snippet, because its unclear if the code will run in unknowingly in the background once admin is logged in or will there be some sort of countdown on the main page saying “this many products have been reset” etc.

I have no idea how to find my functions.php file so am not going to attempt this! Have simply hidden the deleted products from my FB shop for now. I notice in my Commerce Manager that all my deleted products aren’t deleted, they’re just ‘archived’ – which may be a clue to the problem.
Given the number of people who seem to experience this, it would be good if the plugin developers could work with FB on it to improve things!

The functions.php file should be in your (active) theme folder.

Follow-up question about the snippet for the resetting of all products in the Facebook catalog:
Would all links in Facebook posts to the existing products dissapear when you run this snippet?

You don’t need to use the functions.php file if you use a plugin like Code Snippets for adding the code.

I am also having this issue. Seems ridiculous that this isn’t something that can be easily remedied.

To my knowledge, I am unable to just hide the deleted products, I don’t see them anywhere in my product catalog as they were deleted like 2+ years ago.
