Deleted wp-config.php
-
Helo everyone.
I’m little scared because I accidentally deleted wp-config.php file on my WordPress website. I restored that file by creating new one and providing database connection info there. As I saw that keys like AUTH_KEY, LOGGED_IN_KEY, AUTH_SALT etc in my newly created wp-config.php file were blank, I defined them as random strings.
After all, now my site displays blank. When I go to wp-admin page, there displays the information like after WP version upgrade – database upgrade is required and button to do so. Is it possible to explain where that info comes from if I haven’t upgraded WP from some time? Is it safe to click the button to upgrade database?
I have some backups made with Updraft but I see they do not include wp-config file…
Any advices and ideas how to make my site running again highly appreciated!Thank you.
