deleting a post type doesn't make any changes

    Deleting the post type from the list in our UI plugin, won’t delete the posts in the database. You’ll need to re-register the same post type slug, delete the posts you created with it, and then delete the post type out of UI again to remove them.

    How would I “re-register the same post type slug”?

    Just specify the same name you gave for the “Post Type Name” field when adding a new one, first field on the left.
