Deleting Categories

  • Hello, i’m a wordpress newb and am trying to delete the other links from my page (i’m using wordpress as more of a CMS and less as a blogging tool so i don’t want the blogging stuff in there). https://www.ohanakomputer.com I am using sticky menu plugin for the first links (home, funding, etc.) but i don’t want “categories” “feeds” or “meta”, and all the links in each of those. Where do i go to do this and what should i be looking for? Thanks!

  • You’ll need to find the sidebar.php or menu.php file and take out the information in there.

    Well that worked out once i got the exact lines out. Now i’m trying to take out the “add comment” line of text after each post. Any ideas?

    Try looking in the index.php file for something like this:

    <?php comments_popup_link(‘No comments yet’, ‘1 comment’, ‘% comments’); ?>

    and take that out. Or you could just shut off comments when you write a post (located in the top right corner of the write screen).
