Deleting database, adding database?

    I have frozen all development on my website and tonight I am “switching it off” for maintenance, so that hopefully no-one can login or make an order.

    I am moving to a new server.

    I want my new web host (cloudways) to install the website on my new server, using a backup from about now, but then tomorrow I want to upload the most recent version of the database – thus replacing the old, out-of-date database.

    Am I doing it right? I need help to ensure nothing goes wrong.
