• Hi we’re on WordPress 4.6.1 running eleven40 Child Theme theme and we have directories set up on the site. Site URL is https://www.gssalliance.com. Since I didn’t set this directory up I’m finding it hard to remove older entries that are no longer valid. I can edit these entries but I cannot seem to get them totally removed from the list. If I select the entry I want to delete and move it to the trash it still shows up on the current list. I can then do nothing more because the system tells me it’s in the trash. Trash? What trash? Where is this trash folder located and how on earth can I simply remove an entry from this list?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • If you go to all posts you will see a menu across the top. One of the items is trash. You can permanently delete from there.

Hi – yes but for me, trash does not appear at the top of the posts page and I’m assuming that’s because there’s nothing in the trash. Confusing right? Since when I try to grab that post and do something with it I’m told it’s in the trash.

Yes, if there is nothing in Trash the column will not show up.

    Have you tried:
-deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
-switching to the a theme without the child to rule out any theme-specific problems.
