Deleting Files in Quarantine

    Hey there Eli… First let me say your plugin is fantastic. Thanks for all your efforts with it. I was very happy to donate funds for your work.

    Question : I had some malicious files in Quarantine and my hosting company came across them on a scan. So I need to delete them. Any suggestions as to the best way to do this.

    Perhaps you can create a dump feature at some point to help with this?

    Please let me know your thoughts ASAP.

    You must be using an older version of my plugin. The newer versions do not store the quarantined files on the filesystem for that very reason. If you upgrade to the latest version (4.15.30) then your quarantine will be moved into the database and the old files will be removed. You can also then delete the quarantine records from within the quarantine page.

    Sounds good Eli… And to confirm, deleting the files in quarantine will not affect the regular functionality of the site?

    If the cleaning went fine then you can empty the quarantine. Those files are just kept as a backup in case you need to restore files that were previously cleaned.

    Great… I emptied the quarantine and the quarantine trash and all is well with the site.

    I have another less important question. I will start a new post. There is no rush on this one so feel free to get back to me once you have a moment.
