    Hello,

I used the plugin to duplicate my live site into the test environment.

I followed the clean up on the test environment as recommended.

My question is: My live site has the package file from where I could download the installer and zip.

Is it important to cleanup the live site after duplication? Please reply urgently as I do not want to leave a security loophole open.

Thank you in advance and have a great day ahead ??

  • Yes very important. You do not leave any installer files laying around…

Yes, it is your full files and database backup in zip file + installer.php

Thanks a lot to you both.

I ran the clean up tool in production but not all files were gone and hence I manually cleaned using FTP. The reserved files were in wp-snapshots than root. I noticed these files remaining in wp-snapshots other than the mentioned reserved files:

1> tmp folder which is empty
    2> .htaccess file
    3> scan.json file
    4> dtoken.php
    5> index.php
    6> robots.txt

Are these files ok to leave or wp-snapshots should be 100% empty after the cleanup?

Thanks a lot for your quick response ?? Excellent plugin. Will add review.

    Best,

Yes those files are safe to keep. Even if you do delete them they will get re-created on a build.

    Cheers~
