Deleting Members Plugin Retain Roles

    Hi folks,

    I realize we don’t need the functionality of this plugin, as most of the theme we’re building has page restriction custom coded into the templates. I’d like to remove the plugin but retain the roles. Can I register the roles in functions.php first, then delete the plugin?

    Hi Will,

    Users’ capabilities and roles are stored in the database in the wp_user_roles option in the wp_options table, so you should keep it even when you deactivate and delete the plugin.
