So I’ve benn searching for quite a long time now to find a solution but haven’t been able to find any answers.

So if a Customer buys two pieces of a Product which has the quantity of “1”, Woocommerce automatically sets the quantity to “-1” and adds the Meta “On Backorder: 1” to the Product in the Customer Order.

Now as I have inbound Stock I, set the Quantity in the Products Tab back to 2 and update the customer Order. However, the meta that says “On Backorder: 1” doesn’t disappear.

Do i have to manually remove this meta for every order myself or am I doing something wrong?

It may seem like a stupid question but I had some sleepless nights trying to figure this out. Maybe someone can help me? Thanks in advance. Your Help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello there,
It seems like you don’t want backorders to be allowed at all.

In this case, you can simply disable them by editing the product. In the above case, with backorders disabled, the customer would not be able to order 2 items since only 1 is available.

    Thanks for your Answer.

The Backorder Option is needed cause i keep only small stocks of my Products.
I’m just annoyed that i have to each time manually edit the order to remove the Meta of each product.
    It is very Time consuming.
Isn’t there a way to automate this procedure?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Isn’t there a way to automate this procedure?

I’m sure you can do it with custom code, but I’m not able to help you with that. You can hire one of our recommended developers here: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/
