I was wondering – will there be / is there a way to delete the original images once they have been converted?

I am OK with a very small amount of my users not seeing pictures because they have old browsers!

    Hello @khariton,

    Thanks for your message.

It is not possible. You should not delete the original images, whether they are needed or not. The original is the original.

    Hi @mateuszgbiorczyk ,

Thanks for the clarification. They are hires images, amounting to 130 GBs total and averaging 5-8 MBs each. The originals are periodically imported from an external service and it was a poor previous design choice to keep them like that given that the main audience uses cellular data, i.e. they should have been converted upon import or on the providing endpoint on the first place to not drain the mobile plans of users. Any future use will not see the originals being used anyway and they just take up a lot of space on the server.

I understand you @khariton. Unfortunately, the plugin does not allow you to delete original images. In most cases, this would be a problem for users. If something went wrong, they might lose their original imahee.

Your situation is very unique. I’m sorry, but I can’t help you.
