    What the…

I have several WP instances on separate hosts using Updraft, backing up to the same instance of Dropbox/Apps.

UD creates the remote backups OK, but it also deletes the unrelated, and incorrect, backup when i go delete the backup.

In other words, I have a valid remote backup for SiteA on Dropbox. I go to SiteB, go through the motion of deleting the remote volume for SiteB, it delete the remote volume for SiteA.

    Hi,

Given the way UD is architected, that’s not entirely possible; the filenames of particular backups are what are being accessed, and one site won’t even know what filenames exist on another site. If you’ve pressed the “Rescan remote storage” link in the ‘Existing Backups’ tab, then that will scan your Dropbox folder for backups from whatever site (that is the intended function of that link – it’s useful for people importing existing backups into a new WP install), so I’d guess that you’ve done that at some point, and then deleted a backup that was listed from another site.

    David
