• When I click on the number in the admin bar that shows all of the plugins needing updated, and when I select all of those plugins and try and update them all at once, it simply redirects me back to my home page without updating the plugins.

Additionally, I’ve had spam users added to my blog as subscribers and I want to delete them. When I click delete on the individual user, it redirects to my front page. And, when I click the users that I want to delete and then go to the top to try and delete all (bulk delete), it also redirects me to my home page.

I disabled every single plugin to troubleshoot conflict with a plugins and with all plugins disabled, this still happened. Any suggestions on where to look on this?

    Thanks, Carol

  • I started having the same problem about a month ago. When I try to delete a user, no matter what role (except administrator of course)it always takes me to a (404 Page not Found). Never had problems before and I had deleted hundreds. Any ideas why this is happening, and how it can be fixed?

I just fixed this last night. So I had installed Bullet Proof Security a long time ago on my site and then took it off and installed Better WP Security. This created an .htaccess file in my wp-admin directory that had a ton of rewrite conditions in it. When I renamed that .htaccess file (to .htaccess.bak), then it fixed it along with several other quirky things that were happening in the admin. My theory is that this .htaccess file was left from that old install. Since I had uninstalled Bullet Proof Security, there have been several updates to core and something started conflicting. If I still had the plugin activated, I would probably have received an update that would have fixed the problem. This is my theory, who knows if it means anything. ?? Hope this helps you out.
