• Hello and thank you in advance for any help.

When I first had my hosting account (godaddy), I had installed wordpress, then wordpress multi-site when it was officially introduced, on my root directory. At the time I was unaware that I could host multiple domains and wordpress installs (in fact, I don’t think it was offered at the time).

Since then I have moved away from my multisite due to a lot of problems (malware, got attacked bad multiple times) and have a single install for each of my sites.

I have deleted the original wordpress install (the multisite) from my file manager.

My currently installed wordpresses look like this:

    Root (jeremycollier.com)
    > kvgtpodcast.com
    >> wordpress install
    > steampowereddreams.com
    >> wordpress install

In the interest of making sure that my account is 100% free of the malware from the multisite, as well as eliminate problems in the future since I will be using the root page for something else, I want to delete all the leftover files that were not deleted.

So, sorry for such a long post, but my question is are any of the files left sitting in my root directory needed for my installs of wordpress or are they self-contained within the installed folders?

The following are in the ROOT directory still:

    wp-atom.phpwp-commentsrss2.php
    wp-feed.php
    wp-pass.php
    wp-rdf.php
    wp-register.php
    wp-rss.php
    wp-rss2.php
    wp-signup.php
