Deletion of expired posts?

  • Good day everyone.

    I have a general question about deleting expired posts.

    I run a Sweepstakes resource site where I list Sweepstakes that have an expiration date. I have set the posts to expire automatically when a sweepstakes ends, those posts are then moved into drafts.

    I have been searching online about whether its a good practice to delete posts or should I even be putting them into a draft folder.

    Does it hurt my seo if I delete these drafts?

    It should make no difference whether they’re draft or deleted as search engines cannot access them in either case.

    Hi Steve thanks for the reply. These links are active for a time first until the sweepstakes ends, I have a plugin that automatically puts them into the draft folder after expiration.
