Deletion of www.ads-software.com account

We cannot delete accounts here full stop.

Well, how I am I supposed to get rid of this?

Can you abandon it and make another account?

You could change your display name, which might help.

Sadly, its for technical reasons (i.e. the system is hacked and kludgy) that it’s impossible to delete your account totally, and without breaking all sorts of things for other people. ??

No point of abandoning it as it will still show up in the first page of google.

Folks, the option to completely delete an account is kind of elementary, don’t you think?

It is elementary. I do not understand how does a simple deletion of a record in database would mess up everything.

Because the management of WPORG accounts extends well beyond these forums. We have looked into this previously and it’s simply not possible – sorry.

This post was (and is again) marked resolved because we’ve done what we are technically capable of doing. We’re sorry, it sucks that we tied in the forums to SVN and weird stuff happens when it’s all unhooked, but that’s what we’ve got right now :/

Is the change of profile url possible?

Nope. Except for changing your display name you cannot modify that URL. It’s base on your userid which like deletion can’t be changed.

– Accounts cannot be deleted

– The URL slug for your profile cannot be changes (it’s built on your userid)

– You can change the display name

As has been suggested you can abandon your current account and start another one. If you are concerned about “SEO” then stop worrying about it. Really.

All you have to do is create good content elsewhere and the search engines will pick that up. Walk away from this account and that’s really the only solution that can be offered to you.
