Delicious has a new experimental feature for it to post directly to your blog (via xmlrpc) your daily links. You can get to it via del.icio.us/settings/<username>/daily I have it configured to post to my xmlrpc.php file with an out_blog_id of 1, and the proper category id, but it doesn’t appear to be working.

I can see the delicious POST request in my access_log, but I never see the blog posts. Has anyone gotten this working with WP? Do I need to be running a later version of WP than 1.2.2? Is there anything special I need to do to make this work?

XMLRPC seems like a much better way to do it than a few of the delicious plugins that drop the post in the databases manually. The only documentation I found for the delicious feature was getting it working with MT. Is there a reason it wouldn’t work with WP? Thanks,

I couldn’t find anything on the del.icio.us discussion list (same for Google) on how to do this with WP…

I just tried and it works fine with 1.5. Well, almost fine, as it doesn’t quite post into the right category but uses the default one.

I’d have a question — Would the xml-rpc allow to do it the other way around, i.e. export your daily wordpress links to delicious?

and if so, it would make sense to eventually merge the link cats and the blog cats

I got this working today values were:-
job_name : WordPress Daily Post
out_name : username from WordPress
out_pass : password for username
out_url : https://mysite/xmlrpc.php
out_time : 23
out_blog_id : <blank>
out_cat_id : 15

While I entered a category the post was created with the default category. Also it took about 30 mins after the sepcified time for the process to run.

It really looks like somebody spammed this conversation.

Anyway, I’m looking for a way to integrate del.icio.us with wordpress links, not wordpress posts. Has anyone encountered anything that helps do this. any ideas?
