• I no longer wish to use categories to define my entries.

Ia€?m wondering whether there is a plugin for WordPress which will allow me, to instead of using categories to assign multiple tags to a post, which will then be shown as weighted tags on the archives page.

This plugin would allow me to simply add any tags I wish to my post when posting, and on the archives page it’d list all of the tags I’d use, weighted by most used. By default, all entries would go into General.

Pretty much how this is setup; https://www.ads-software.com/tags/ but for blogs instead of the forum…

    Thanks.

Trying to use this now. However I’ve got wrong URL’s and everything, and I’ve only done what it asks me. When I try to visit the Tags option I get a 404 because the file isn’t located in x directory.

Anybody actually got this working? :S

Did you update permalinks after you made changes to UTW? Also, I had a problem with Adhesive plugin because it was overwriting $post. Christine helped figure it out for me. If you have any problems after this, check with Christine. She’s excellent at support.

I wasn’t even able to make changes.

When I enable the plugin and then go to Manage > Tags the url is referenced to /wp-admin/ – however all the files are located in the plugins directory. So I don’t know what’s gone wrong.

From step 1 of the installation instructions:

“For version 1.5.1 and above, copy the files to wp-content/plugins/UltimateTagWarrior.”

IOW, the plugin files should be located in the /UltimateTagWarrior/ directory, which should be inside the /plugins/ directory.

    You should have this:

    /wp-content/plugins/UltimateTagWarrior/<plugin files>

Yep that’s how I have it.

But I don’t think it handles the Blog address (URI): correctly and it’s assuming that files are based off that rather than the WordPress address (URI): … I think, anyway!

    Any help?

    Heya Chris,

Are you still having trouble with UTW?
