    Hi

My client has many suburbs for Delivery pricing which varies according to the suburub the items are being delivered to. So not based on weight just the suburb.

Is there a quick way to import all suburbs from Excel into the Shipping Methods ?
Otherwise it will take me forever to add them in one by one manuually!

Or a plugin that will help ?
Any other suggestions on quicker way to do this ?

    URGENT any advice appreciated !

    Thanks
    Kristin

    Hi there,

The quickest way would be sort them according to post codes; That way, you’ll be able to group shipping zones according to post codes – with respective shipping methods assigned to each.

Alternatively you could https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wc-shipping-rates-importer/ although we don’t have any direct experience with that plugin ??

    HI

    Yes thanks for that.

Also then after I have added in all the postcodes, so how do I enter a code for all the remaining postcodes that will be out of the clients ZONE of pricing, how do I enter that into the system (otherwise the system says “no shipping methods available” on a postcode not entered separately

Eg any other postcode NOT listed we will NOT have pricing for Delivery available. They will be outside the zone unless they choose PICKUP of course.

    Thanks
    Kristin

    Hi @kristinubute,

That’s a great question! The order of shipping zones in WooCommerce matters, and the first matching one will always be used. This means you can create specific shipping zones for the post code on the top, and a general one for the rest of the state / country.

    Here is an example:

    Screenshot: https://cld.wthms.co/bn1Sjl

Shipping zone 1. will catch all postcodes in France starting with 11 or 12 – as long as it’s above zone 2. All other addresses in France that don’t start with 11 or 12 will match with the shipping zone 2.

Does this look like something that could work for you?

    Hey @kristinubute

We haven’t heard back from you in a week, I hope my colleague’s advice has helped, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thanks,
