Demo Banner not available in customizer?

Greetings!

I originally had a default banner image load but the theme review team at www.ads-software.com here tells theme authors to remove that kind of thing based on their rules. No sample or demo content is allowed in any theme here at .org, so I had to remove it before they can approve the theme. The pro version has it still, but it’s more of a placeholder when you first install WP and the theme.

I was able to get a widget with a big image in it to place perfectly, just by placing the widget in the Banner widget area. I guess the point is then the help files say there is a setting in the customizer that is no longer present, so it is just confusing.
Looks like you’ve done a fair job adding all of the theme documentation, very good.

What counts is that everything is OK then?
But thank you for letting me know about the demo banner setting…I will need to remove that from the setup tutorials.

is it possible to have a secondary download, one with a demo.xml.
Demo.xml’s are such a jump start in seeing how the site is build.
Esp. a theme such as this with the homepage being Widget centric, and seeing which widgets were used and how.
Still exploring the tutorials, so maybe there’s enough info there to piece together a nice homepage.
I am in the process of rounding up my redesign sites important content for the homepage, should know more next week.

Only problem with demo installations is that they generally do not provide widget or even template assignments along with static front page setups….they only provide posts, pages, menus, and comments. I have not found a method where a complete duplicate of a website for users to import exists without using an actual backup/cloning plugin.

However, for the home page, if you have any more questions on how I did the page or other, please feel free to post to the theme’s support and I will be more than happy to help out.
