Demo pages not editable in Elementor

Hi,

I have tried multiple different things to edit a few of my demo pages in Elementor with no luck.

My wordpress theme is called Return and I uploaded the zip file from my computer.

I then imported the dark theme demo pages so I could use and edit the images/copy in the wheel scroll homepage demo page. I installed and activated all necessary plugins for the theme. Some of the pages work with Elementor, but when I try to view and edit others the items on the page aren’t clickable and I can’t edit them. I don’t have Elementor Pro, but didn’t want to spend the money because it seems like it can be fixed without having to purchase Pro.

Please help I don’t know why it isn’t working. I’m familiar with code so please let me know if it’s anything I need to do in the backend, code-wise.
