Is there a demo of this in action so I can see what it looks like before installing it? I currently have a curbside plugin that hasn’t been updated in over a year and I’d like to switch but I want to see what it looks like in action.

@chumidor I do have an instance I use for testing that has the latest version of the plugin. You can check it out here: https://test.wclocalpickup.com/

You can use your name, a bogus phone number, and a valid email address(to see order status emails). Use the following address(my city hall, Ha) so that you can see how the Local Pickup Time works:

    3275 Central Blvd.
    Hudsonville, MI 49426

Note that there are screenshots that also help you see the configuration screen and the checkout/cart screens. I don’t have a demo in order to checkout the WordPress Dashboard.

Ok, I got the jist of what it looks like on the cart level. When a customer gets the email confirmation for the pickup order is there a place that tells them how to notify the store that they have arrived? Is there something on the backend that notifies the store that the customer has arrived?

@chumidor you can customize the order ready for pickup with instructions of some sort. This plugin doesn’t provide any sort of pickup instructions or arrival notifications, beyond the order status email notifications. One of my clients that uses this plugin just had a shop notice on their site with the phone number to text upon arrival. You could also provide something like that in your email templates as well.

There are so many ways that an arrival notification could be sent, and a lot of requirements around how that might get received by a shop owner that it would be pretty challenging to provide that full functionality. I could provide something basic that also includes hooks that someone could customize in order to meet their exact needs but I suspect there might not be a lot of use for it that way. This is the first time I’ve had such a request.
