    Hi

    I am new to WordPress and I want my site similar to your demo site and I wonder if you can help me.

    How did you get all the featured images (the 4 images – Loaded with Goodies, Totaly Customizable….etc). Infact can I just have 2 images in place of 4?

  • I put that into the page editor and used inline columns for it. First is to make a container with a class=”row” like this:

    <div class="row">
    content columns in here
    </div>

    In between that I would put 4 instances of this:

    <div class="col-md-3">
    <div class="cir-mediabox1" style="margin-top: 0;">
    <div><img src="https://demo.styledthemes.com/circumference-lite/wp-content/uploads/fp-box1.jpg" alt="..." /></div>
    <h3>Loaded with Goodies</h3>
    Circumference comes loaded with many features to help you create almost any kind of website you put into it. With theme options, styles, and ready for popular plugins, you can have an amazing website for your business.
    <a class="btn btn-grey btn-sm">Details</a>
    </div>
    </div>

    The col-md-3 class is what creates the columns. This is a 12 column grid layout, so because there are 4 of those groups of images and content using col-md-3, that means 4 of those = 12 (this is part of the Bootstrap framework). This also helps with responsive layouts.

    So if you wanted just 2 columns of content with thumbnails, you would have just 2 of the instances of that code but change the col-md-3 to col-md-6 because 6×2=12 columns (each column takes up 6 grid columns for a total of 12). If you wanted 3 columns, then each instance would be a class of col-md-4 (4×3=12)

    This is fantastic, lastly how can I change the front page picture and the text on the picture.

    I love your theme, loads and loads of options….

    Thanks very much for doing a great job.

    That is a sample header. Go to Appearance >> Header >> then click remove header. You can upload your own or use a widget to load an image or slider in the Banner widget position.

    So sorry to bother you but I tried to change the image as you mentioned but it failed. I am not experienced enough to know how to sort this out nor am I good with coding. Looking at the source I see the following:

    <aside id=”cir-banner” style=”background-color: #c6b274; background-image: url(https://www……co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/cropped-iStock_0000224Large.jpg);”>

    <div class=”container”>
    <div class=”row”>
    <div class=”col-md-12″>
    </div>
    </div>
    </div>
    <img src=”https://www…&#8230;..co.uk/wp-content/themes/circumference-lite/images/demo-banner.jpg” alt=”…” />
    </aside>

    Please help!!!

    First, let’s begin over. This theme uses the WP Header feature (which you find under the Appearance menu in the admin) as a background image in the top banner area. So that bluish photo you see and on my demo is the image you see when there.

    Now, to change that, you can click the button there to remove it and you can upload your own with the WP Header feature there. But this is only going to be for your banner area background.

    To get an actual photo or perhaps even a slideshow, you need to use the Banner widget position and put a widget there for a slider or for a static image, this plugin might help:

    or you can upload your own image to your media library and copy the “File URL” and using a text widget (which I find is better), do some html code like this:

    <img src="your file url" alt="short description" />

    I’m not sure if you are aware about the setup tutorials for this theme, but you can find them here:

    This is fantastic, it works… Wow. thanks

    I have been through most of the setup tutorial files already.

    Just one more question. Can I have a background image (more like a watermark). Basically I want a screen size logo of the company on the webpages and want it to be a background image for all pages in this site. Is this possible?

    Thanks again, really really appreciate your help.

    You mean a background behind the content area or the outer background of the page?

    behind the content

    This is where you need some coding experience with CSS, but to also be able to open the theme file and know what to change there. The container you would need to do custom CSS coding with is this one:

    <div id=”cir-content-wrapper”…..

    This has inline styling which is associated with the theme customizer, so you would have to take out the inline style from that container and then do your own css for a background.

    By the way, forum moderators will probably request you post each new question as a new topic so each one relates to the topic title.

    Thanks very much for your help. Really really appreciate it and hopefully next question, if any, will come separately.

    Once again thanks very much for your help.

    Hello, I am new to WP, coding etc. I’m using Circumference Lite theme- I have tried for a week to get Media boxes like the ones you display. I have uploaded Articulate (plug in)player.html files as samples- no problem- but I’d like to have them displayed in MEDIA BOX/ gallery format preferably as a Sample page- not post. I’ve tried to enter the code found in another thread- but … I have one in there but want at least 4. How do I get them in a row? Are video/ player files supported in those “media boxes” – or just images?

    Here is a link: https://www.lordshipelearning.com/samples-2/

    Thanks in advance.

    @mjayo….best to start a new topic when this one is already set to “resolved”. But for your issue, this might help:

    Thank you.
