Department selection option not showing for user

  • I have created multiple departments and enabled User Department Selection. But, user don’t see any department selection option when starting chat.

    Thank you for getting in touch, we do appreciate your time.

    Please could I ask you to confirm that your chat is online during testing? Departments are only selectable when the chat is online currently.

    Additionally, please confirm that you are using the latest version of the plugin?

    Lastly, may I ask you to provide me with a link to your site so that I may debug this a bit further?

    Hi there Imran,

    Due to limitations and issues with the department functionality, We’re deprecating the use/selection of departments from the user’s side in the upcoming big release we have planned to release in a few weeks from now.

    Unfortunately this part is a little bit buggy and needs to be removed for now. There’s a chance it will be re-implemented properly and more reliably later.
