Deprecated: Function _register_controls is deprecated

  • Hello, I would like your help please.
    Using the aThemes Sydney theme, I’ve been getting the following error in the top of the portfolio widget on the site, ever since updating all plugins and the theme.

    Deprecated: Function _register_controls is deprecated since version 3.1.0! Use Elementor\Controls_Stack::register_controls() instead. in /hermes/bosnacweb05/bosnacweb05ca/b1277/nf.thebusinessvideoscom/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5379

    When I deactivate the Sydney Toolbox plugin, both the Portfolio widget and the error disappear.

    I looked in the FTP plugin folder at four “block-portfolio” php files but could not find the phrase “_register_controls”.

    WP and all plugins and themes are updated. My host is running PHP 7.4.

  • its the elementor plugin that generates this warning – the code in toolbox needs updating – any idea when this will be done?
