I have a site that is using WPForms. When I run the “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin, I get the following jQuery Migrate deprecations…

jQuery.fn.change() event shorthand is deprecated Plugin: WPForms path/wp-content/plugins/wpforms/assets/js/wpforms.min.js

jQuery.isArray is deprecated; use Array.isArray Plugin: WPForms path/wp-content/plugins/wpforms/assets/js/jquery.conditionals.min.js

jQuery.fn.change() event shorthand is deprecated Plugin: WPForms path/wp-content/plugins/wpforms/pro/assets/js/admin/settings-access.min.js

I’ve looked at those files in the WPForms plugin and I don’t see any of those shorthand statements.

Is this something you’ll be addressing soon?

    What is going on here?

    I’m using WP 5.9.3, Genesis 3.3.5, Genesis Sample child 3.3.1, PHP 7.4.29

    Thanks!

  • Hey @kendawes – Thanks for contacting us!

We have a fairly short release cycle and keep our assets up to date, and after checking, I can confirm based on my testing that we have no such notices for our plugin at this time

Another possible source of jQuery migrate notices are caused by the site theme. Could you please try switching to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty One and checking if the notice still persists?

    Kindly,

Hey @kendawes – We haven’t heard back from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
