    Hello there,

There seem to be a few warning popping up when using the Lite version – nothing seems to be broken yet but just wondering if these can be fixed easily to avoid any issues going forward.

Deprecated: Creation of dynamic property Barn2\Plugin\Document_Library\Document::$post_object is deprecated in?…\public\wp-content\plugins\document-library-lite\src\Document.php?on line?36

Let me know if you need any more information on this,

    Thanks, Pri.

  • Hi, @priyanks.

Thanks for getting in touch. I appreciate the details and exact error message. I’m happy to help look into this.

The issue you’re experiencing could be because your website’s web server is using PHP 8.2, where dynamic properties are deprecated. You can test this by rolling back to a previous version (if possible), then check whether the warnings persist.

I am relaying the details to our developers for review and to investigate further. I or another member of our team will let you know as soon as we have new information.

In the meantime, please let me know if there’s anything else that we may assist you with.

Thank you for telling us about this, and I’m very sorry for the inconvenience.

    Best regards,
    Edge

    Hi, @priyanks.

Thanks for your patience. Document Library Lite 1.1.0 (released 25 September 2024) is now available, and it includes the fix to address the deprecated warnings that you reported displaying on your website.

In case you haven’t done so yet, please could you update the plugin to this version on your website, and confirm whether it resolves the issue/warnings.

    After updating the plugin, please also remember to clear/delete/empty all/any caching that might be active;
    – On your website (i.e. via a caching plugin),
    – Its web server (i.e. via a server-based caching service such as Cloudflare),
    – And your browser (you can also review the issue via an incognito/private browser window that’s not cached – or use a different browser as an alternative; i.e. if you usually use Chrome to browse your site, then use Edge or Opera).

    Many thanks,
    Edge
