Depreceated php4 code in class-simplepie.php

  • I got some warnings bumped (actually plenty of them) because of some deprecated code. It must be all about deprecated “=& new” constructors. Strangely enough, I found no such ticket on trac.
    Hope it doesn’t mean that PHP4 code is kept on purpose?

    The devs are dropping PHP4 in the next major release of WordPress, so the answer today is ‘Yes, PHP4 is kept on purpose’ but also ‘PHP5 will be a requirement soon.’
